Birdsfoot Trefoil, Lotus corniculatus, is a member of the Pea Family and has been considered both edible and medicinal but be aware that all parts of this plant are poisonous. The seeds can be nibbled and it has been used medicinally as a antispasmodic, sedative, to remove gas and reduce fever.

Could this be used in a homemade oil? If i infused it with almond oil for the skin?
I actually thought this was alfalfa before I identified it! I used about one cup of the leaves and made a smoothie! I certainly hope that I won’t get sick! Stupid mistake!
